拉里·邱

邱东晓教授于1983年获得中国中山大学数学学士学位。他还于1989年获得加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学经济学硕士学位，1993年获得经济学博士学位。1993年，他加入香港科技大学担任助理教授，后来成为副教授和教授。他于2008年1月调任香港大学教授。他的研究范围广泛，主要集中在产业组织、国际贸易和外商直接投资(FDI)等领域。在产业组织领域，他对研发和并购等问题感兴趣。在国际贸易领域，主要研究战略贸易政策的优化设计、知识产权保护对国际贸易的影响、环境政策对技术转让的影响等。在FDI领域，他分析了跨境并购、战略联盟和技术转让。他还对中国的对外贸易和对外直接投资做了一些研究。他在国际期刊和书籍上发表了大量文章。 Larry has taught a variety of courses at all levels (undergraduate, master, MBA, EMBA, Ph.D. and as well as executive training) and in many places including China, Hong Kong and Portugal. Examples of his courses include globalization, international trade and finance, China's industry analysis, and foreign trade and investment in China. Larry's research has received a number of research grants from the HKSAR Government. He has conducted several consultant projects for the HKSAR Government and Asia Development Bank.
